Winner winner chicken dinner! Hot damn, y’all! I just won my first enduro in the Eastern States Cup pro women’s field! It’s probably obvious by the massive grin on my face that I’m pretty stoked.

A lot of folks have asked, what was it about this race that led to my top performance? The short answer is that everything fell into place just right. The long answer is that I worked really hard to get to a point to where I could put everything into place just right. After each race I take a step back to look at what worked and what didn’t work, and have slowly been putting the puzzle together all season. There are things that will always be out of my control. However, being well prepared mentally, physically, and logistically on race weekend gives me the tools to deal with those unexpected things.
Finally, I’ve been chasing my super fast and super rad race friends around all season. I have learned so much from these ladies over the past few months. At the beginning of the season, and ultimately at the end of the day, my number one goal is to make new friends, learn from them, and become a better rider.
